List five things you do for fun.
Reading: I have always loved a good book! Science fiction, fantasy, science and historical nonfiction have been my go to it genres. My latest book is Assyria, an excellent review of now distant civilization often imbued with dread, most likely a result of numerous polemics in the Bible. It was a fascinating read. I was actually sad finishing it.
Hiking: I don’t do enough of this in the winter, but make up for it in the spring through fall. The best time is August through the end of October, fewer bugs! I also love the fall colours.
Photography: What to carry when I hike? A camera of course! I also take a lot of images of the night sky, aka astrophotography, plus wildlife pictures when I can.
Drinking Good Beer and Wine: Not quite a hobby but a big part of get togethers and end of week rituals. A good wine or craft beer is well worth the calories! I plan to take wine courses when I retire. To that end, I have purchase saome books on wine; reading and wine drinking, a perfect combination.
Writing: This one surprises me somewhat. I seem to come to this later in recent year, but I find it quite cathartic. My blog posts don’t get a lot of views generally, but that is ok, as I write mostly for me.
Scuba diving: Ok, I am cheating. This is number 6. This isn’t quite a frequent enough endeavor at the moment, but it will be! I am going diving this March Break and hope to incorporate diving into as many of my travel destinations as possible.
